About us

Health & Wellbeing in Schools Ltd is a Midlands based company, specialising in Personal, Social, Health & Economic education (PSHEe) support for schools and other learning providers and organisations. We are passionate about supporting schools, professionals and young people.

Support is designed to empower effective delivery and enable best practice in PSHE education, especially around priorities such as statutory RSHE (Relationships, Sex & Health Education). This is achieved through a combination of consultancy advice, professional development and curriculum development to suit your individual setting or service.

We are passionate about supporting schools, professionals and young people. Fundamentally, we know that a whole-school approach to improving the personal development, health and wellbeing of your school community will have a positive impact on wider school improvement and mean improved outcomes for children and young.

Our service offer across the spectrum of PSHEe themes includes, but is not limited to:
  • Consultancy and advice
  • Training and professional development across the school and C & YP workforce
  • Policy review and development
  • Subject audit and review, including evidencing practise for stakeholders
  • Curriculum support, including planning and organisation of the subject and developing best practise in delivery
  • Support in meeting and managing statutory requirements within Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education (RSHE)
We are able to support schools across England, either virtually or in-person.

We also provide services for charities and other businesses who work across the field of PSHE education and related themes, including curriculum development, specialist advice and consultancy services.

Background
Health & Wellbeing in Schools Ltd was founded by our Director, Russell Stanley. Since abandoning a fairly boring but successful career in finance in 2006, Russell has built up a strong background of working in and with schools, firstly as a primary school teacher, and then in a variety of roles across Personal, Social, Health & Economic (PSHE) education within both Education and Public Health departments for a Local Authority, including managing a Healthy Schools team.

He has extensive experience of working with a range of different community partners and organisations and has also served as a Chair of Governors in a primary school and held other voluntary roles working to support positive outcomes for children and young people.

Russell is incredibly passionate about PSHE education and the unique difference that this subject can make to the lives of children and young people, both now and in their futures.
